Certified under the Federal Aviation Administration, we can train you for any position from the ground to the flight deck.

Our instructors are fully licensed, knowledgeable professionals. They are continually learning at high levels to ensure the effectiveness of teaching, with closer attention to the students’ individual learning needs. All are qualified to give both flight and ground instruction.

Our program limits the number of students enrolled, which allows us to dedicate aircraft to your training and a full-time Certified Flight Instructor with a one-to-one CFI to student ratio. This gives you the personalized training you deserve and ensures your success.

Gulf Coast Aviation is Southeast Louisiana’s premier location for flight training and photo flights with locations in both New Orleans and Baton Rouge. We are an FAA Approved Part 141 Flight School and our average student finishes in 20 fewer hours than the national average. We train using the state-of-the-art, scenario based training program that is exclusively available only to Cessna Pilot Centers.

Our fleet includes six of the most modern and best maintained aircraft for your training, along with a full motion flight simulator. With our amazing team of flight instructors and office staff, we are prepared to prioritize our students and give them the undivided attention they need to achieve their goals in aviation. Our Student First Time Pass Rate is over 90% on all courses, and we have a large list of satisfied customers who will be happy to tell you about their training experience with us here at Gulf Coast Aviation!

Due to our affiliation with Liberty University, we are authorized to certify their graduates for an Airline Transport Pilot with Reduced Aeronautical Experience (Restricted-ATP).

Our office is open seven days a week from 9 AM to 5 PM, but our instructors and aircraft are available 24/7 by appointment. If you’d like to stop by to talk with an instructor, we recommend making an appointment ahead of time to ensure instructor availability.
