New Orleans, LA – New Orleans Lakefront Airport announced Tuesday that it has launched a NEW website to improve communications and promote its historical significance.
Airport officials said the NEW site, lakefrontairport.com, officially launched for visitors, partners, vendors, and passengers to locate vital information easily. ADA accessibility and integration with social media are among the many improvements that come with the NEW site.
The NEW website was developed with the help of Firefly Marketing Solutions.
According to a Lakefront Airport spokesperson, the NEW website was designed with visitors in mind, particularly those using their phones to look for airport information.
“When analyzing the previous website’s analytics, we discovered that over 70% of the traffic was coming from mobile devices. This revelation prompted us to strongly emphasize creating a mobile-first user experience,” said Bill Dalton, Firefly’s CEO. “Our goal is to provide essential information not only for passengers traveling through our airport but also for the many vendors and partners that do business in and around the airport.”
While the NEW website was designed to be more mobile-friendly, Firefly stated that it is also compatible with standard internet browsers on PCs, Macs, and tablets.
In addition to historical information, the NEW site also features a section dedicated to businesses associated with Lakefront Airport, as well as airport data, leasing opportunities, and updates on current projects.
Lakefront Airport is a public airport located five miles (eight kilometers) northeast of downtown New Orleans, in Orleans Parish, Louisiana. It was ordered to be built in 1929 by Huey P Long and first opened in 1939.
